Description

The logs of the containerdebug process are now forwarded to the Vector aggregator. They arrive as a pseudo-container named containerdebug, next to the product and Vector logs.

No log file was written so far: the operator set CONTAINERDEBUG_LOG_DIRECTORY, which containerdebug stopped reading in its version 0.2.0 when it moved to stackable-telemetry. The directory is now set via FILE_LOG_DIRECTORY, together with FILE_LOG_ROTATION_PERIOD=hourly and FILE_LOG_MAX_FILES=2, because rotation is opt-in there and the file lies in the size-capped log volume.

A new Vector source and transform map the tracing-rs JSON onto the common log schema.

The logging docs explain the container label and what overriding FILE_LOG_DIRECTORY does to the aggregation.
